WPA Presents Check to Pets in the Classroom Program

Posted On: 10-04-2013

The World Pet Association (WPA), host America’s Family Pet Expo, recently had the privilege of donating $10,000 to the Pet Care Trust’s Pets in the Classroom program, an educational grants program that provides financial support to school teachers to have aquarium fish or small pets in the classroom for the purpose of teaching responsible pet care.  The WPA raised funds for the program through a Huey Lewis & The News benefit concert, sponsored by Natura Pet, during the 2013 SuperZoo trade show in Las Vegas, NV.

Over 1100 pet industry professionals attended the concert, and the funds raised will provide grants to approximately 80 teachers, impacting the lives of nearly 4,000 students!
